Over the last few weeks, gamers worldwide have been voting for their favorite games and characters in the first-ever Xbox 360 Game Awards. On Thursday the results were announced.

Police detective Ronan O’Connor has his life brought to a brutal end by a masked killer. Caught in the purgatorial afterlife world of Dusk, O’Connor has to combine his investigative skills with powerful supernatural abilities to uncover the link between his own death and a series of killings terrifying the town he was tasked with protecting as a cop.

Twitter, Vine, HBO GO, ShowTime Anytime, Comedy Central and Major League Gaming are just some of the 45 new entertainment apps coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 globally. The additions bring the Xbox catalog to more than 225 apps, an increase of 25 percent.

Free Games with Gold, and Deals with Gold, for Xbox One are now available this month. “Max: The Curse of Brotherhood” (regularly $14.99), and “Halo: Spartan Assault” (regularly $9.99) can now be downloaded for free from the Xbox Games store with your Xbox Live Gold membership.

Highly anticipated Xbox One features, including external storage, the ability to use your real name on Xbox Live and improved SmartGlass integration, begin rolling out globally this week.
