Microsoft “Motocross Madness 2” to Feature Honda Motorcycles

REDMOND, Wash., May 1, 2000 — Microsoft Corp. and American Honda Motor Co. Inc.’s Motorcycle Division today announced that they have reached an agreement to feature a lineup of Honda 2000 series off-road motorcycles in the new Microsoft® ”
Motocross Madness TM 2″
game for the PC. In addition to providing heart-pumping racing action,
“Motocross Madness 2” lets PC owners take their favorite Honda off-road motorcycles, including the race-inspired CR® 125R, CR 250R and the high-performance XR TM 400, on virtual test rides in over 40 photo-realistic riding environments and tracks.

“We are pleased to see our motorcycles featured in ‘Motocross Madness 2,'”
said Ray Blank, vice president, American Honda Motor Co. Inc., Motorcycle Division.
“On seeing ‘Motocross Madness 2,’ we were impressed with the level of detail in the riding environments and the game’s simulation of our bikes’ handling and performance. ‘Motocross Madness 2’ gives Honda enthusiasts a chance to sample the excitement of real motocross racing on their PCs.”

“All the motorcycles have been designed to handle the virtual tracks with an extremely high degree of accuracy, just like their real-life counterparts, whether the rider is cruising Enduro-style in the Arizona desert on a Honda XR 400R or taking a ‘whoops’ section on a supercross track on a Honda CR 250R,”
said Robb Rinard, senior designer for
“Motocross Madness 2.”

“Motocross Madness 2”
is the sequel to the award-winning
“Motocross Madness,”

“Motocross Madness 2”

features, in addition to Honda, more than 10 motorcycles to ride, ranging in power and performance from the agile 125cc class up to the powerful four-stroke 650ccs (these include bikes from other license partners).
