What: In 38 high-traffic malls across the country, Intel Corp. and Microsoft Corp. are providing consumers with a hands-on opportunity to experience the companies’ best digital entertainment technology in unique “digital home” settings. The settings, called “Experience Zones,” will bring to life a living room in which consumers can try out the latest digital home entertainment technology and see demonstrations that include viewing premium movie clips, listening to favorite songs or albums, and recording, pausing and rewinding TV shows. Today’s high-performance PCs, powered by the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor supporting Hyper-Threading Technology and Microsoft® Windows®
XP Media Center Edition 2005, deliver this content through a simple onscreen navigation and a remote control.
Who: Intel and Microsoft are sponsoring the Experience Zones as part of a joint consumer marketing campaign, titled “Digital Joy,” aimed at highlighting the benefits of an emerging digital lifestyle and the enabling technology.
When: Monday, Nov. 8, 2004–Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005
