Microsoft Research, Bing, Visual Studio collaboration helps developers get even more productive

In February, Bing Code Search, a project to deliver new tools to save developers time and make software development easier, was introduced by Microsoft Research. On Aug. 18, the Bing Development Assistant Team announced the release of the beta version of the Bing Developer Assistant for Visual Studio, which combines the functionalities of two popular Visual Studio extensions: Sample Browser and Bing Code Search.

A growing number of college recruiters and employers check social networking sites as a way to help assess potential candidates. But only a small percentage of respondents in a global Microsoft survey said they take some key steps to help manage their online reputation, such as editing or deleting information, writes Jacqueline Beauchere, Microsoft Chief Online Safety Officer.
