From 1 March, Gabriela Popescu has taken on the role of Country Manager for Microsoft Romania, Moldova & CIS.
Gabriela brings a proven track record at the intersection of law, business, and technology, with deep expertise in commercial and regulatory matters, compliance, and stakeholder engagement across Central and Eastern Europe. Having joined Microsoft Romania in 2017, she has most recently served as General Manager ad interim, alongside her role as Corporate, External & Legal Affairs Lead for Central Europe, supporting Microsoft’s operations and strategic initiatives across the region.
With a proven track record of navigating complex regulatory environments and building trusted partnerships with customers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, Gabriela is well positioned to continue driving CIS countries digital transformation and accelerating responsible AI adoption with a strong focus on business growth, economic competitiveness, and trust.
