Sodexo and Microsoft announce global partnership to improve facility management intelligence

Sodexo, the world leader in Quality of Life services, and Microsoft have announced a global partnership which will provide Sodexo with powerful cloud capabilities for new and enhanced digital services to clients, consumers and employees.

The partnership, announced by Denis Machuel, Sodexo Chief Executive Officer, and Jean-Philippe Courtois, Microsoft Executive Vice President and President Global Sales, Marketing & Operations, will combine the companies’ unique strengths to change the work experience delivered by Sodexo globally.

Founded in Marseille in 1966, Sodexo is the 19th largest employer in the world, with 427,000 employees operating in 80 countries. A total of 100 million consumers are served by Sodexo each day, through the company’s combination of on-site services, benefits and rewards services and personal and home services. These include food services, reception, maintenance and cleaning, to facilities and equipment management, in-home assistance, child care centres, concierge services and much more.

As technology becomes increasingly present in everyday life, Sodexo is reinforcing its use of analytics and data to respond to the evolving needs of its clients and consumers, providing more innovative concepts and solutions. Developed with Microsoft Consulting Services, Sodexo’s integrated services platform will enable intelligent buildings and facilities for its users, powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, AI, IoT and other Microsoft cloud technologies. Importantly, Azure will provide an agile technology environment for new developments and innovations using trusted infrastructure, AI and data solutions.

This unique platform will deliver new value and benefits to Sodexo employees, clients and consumers by powering exceptional workplace experiences and organizational efficiency, on a global scale. The offer is launched initially in North America, and will expand to Europe and other regions over time.

Hundreds of thousands of Sodexo’s front-line workers will benefit from Microsoft solutions such as Office 365 to enhance schedule and task management, communications, training and onboarding. These tools respond to changing work habits, allowing users the flexibility to connect, manage, follow and delegate projects from their desks and on the go.
