Microsoft and Warner Bros. UK ‘Hobbit’ 3D printed key ad campaign a success
Last December, Microsoft and Warner Bros. U.K. launched the first ad campaign featuring 3D printing, letting fans download a free 3D printer blueprint of “The Key to Erebor” – a major artifact in the plot of the movie, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.” A final case study shows that the campaign was quite successful, writes Kristina Bolger on the Microsoft Advertising blog.
