New Surface line-up now available in Asia Pacific

Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, Surface Studio 2 and Surface Headphones will empower a new era of personal productivity

Asia Pacific, 15 January Microsoft today announced the general availability of Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 across six markets in Asia, including Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan*. In addition, Surface Studio 2 is also available in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan on the same day*; while the Surface Headphones will be coming to Australia, New Zealand, China and Japan later this year.

The new Surface devices will continue to push the boundaries on technology that fades into the background, enabling users to stay productive and to focus on what is important.

Surface Pro 6Surface Pro 6

Surface Pro 6 is the most powerful Surface Pro yet, equipped with the latest 8th generation Intel® Quad Core™ processor. It is 67 percent faster than the 5th generation Surface Pro[1], but still retains the portability, versatility and all-day battery that fans adore.

Add in the luxurious Signature Type Cover[2] and Surface Mouse, and the device immediately transforms from a tablet to a laptop.

Featuring PixelSense™ Touch Display, Surface Pro 6 adapts to help users take their ideas to the next level and create your best work with Office 365 on Windows and with features such as intelligent inking. And to get more in their flow, customers can take advantage of helpful time savers, including password-free Windows Hello sign-in and Windows Timeline.

With boosted performance from the new Quad Core 8th generation Intel® processor, Surface Laptop 2 is 85 percent faster than the original Surface Laptop. Meticulously crafted, Surface Laptop 2 boasts a PixelSense™ Touch Display, and best in class keyboard and trackpad, the laptop delivers the perfect balance of quiet beauty, performance and portability, without sacrificing the 14.5 hours of battery life you need to get through a work day[3].

Surface Studio 2 is the most powerful Surface ever. It’s built for creators who need vibrancy, high graphics performance, and fast processing, providing them with an immersive experience as they focus on creation.

Surface Studio users are often creators who require high end performance, especially graphics performance. The new generation delivers what creators seek with next generation Pascal graphics as well as 50 percent faster GPU[4] for faster processing and rendering.

Microsoft built Surface Headphones to complete the Surface experience.

Whether a user is in an open work space, a café, or on-the-go, Surface Headphones helps tune out or tune in wherever they are. They slip comfortably over one’s ears to surround with spectacular sound quality and 13 levels of ambient noise control.

Designed with collaboration in mind, there are two beam-forming microphones on each ear cup, and eight microphones in total, all helping to focus on the sounds users want to capture allowing for excellent call experiences. Users can easily adjust volume and noise cancellation levels with new, intuitive on-ear dials.

Testing consisted of full battery discharge during video playback. All settings were default except: Wi-Fi was associated with a network and Auto-Brightness disabled. Battery life varies significantly with settings, usage and other factors.
