Microsoft recently held a business forum for Cambodia business leaders themed “Elevate your workplace with Microsoft 365”. Microsoft showcased how Microsoft 365 can help enterprises in Cambodia meet their ever-adapting security, collaboration and mobility needs.

Microsoft 365 brings together Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility and Security, delivering a complete, intelligent and secure solution to empower employees.  By enabling such solutions at the workplace, Cambodian organizations can enable their employees to be more creative and collaborate in a secure environment.

“Cambodia is rapidly developing to meet the needs of its citizens, changing employment landscape, and role in ASEAN,” said Sook Hoon Cheah, General Manager for South East Asia New Markets. “World Bank data for Cambodia is clear, with GDP, life expectancy and population all rising, and poverty continuing to fall; and with 65% of the population under the age of 30 there is a dynamism and thirst for knowledge that the country’s schools, universities and STEM educators are rising to meet. Microsoft 365 is a great tool for youth workforce to ensure Cambodia is best positioned to leverage its young minds and their energies and passions.”

In a country where mobile penetration is 120% and more than half of the population under the age of 30, Microsoft 365 brings fantastic opportunities to Cambodia enterprises and workforce both equally:

  • With Microsoft 365 tools, every organization can embrace a modern workplace that is appealing to tech savvy youth. Youth can be attracted to workforce and retained with collaborative and productive mobile-first culture
  • Furthermore, digital companies could reap the benefits of business process automation via mobile devices, and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy in a secured environment

She stressed the importance of digital transformation for Cambodia, and the impact this will have for the country’s continued economic growth.

“Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. By introducing Microsoft 365 to Cambodia we’re reinforcing our commitment towards Cambodia by empowering customers on their digital transformation journeys,” Ms. Sook Hoon added.

Ms. Sook Hoon has spent more than 20 years at Microsoft, where she is responsible for accelerating customers’ digital transformation in the region and scaling the partner ecosystem across Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
