Chris Tao, the General Manager, Enterprise Business at Microsoft ASEAN, is leading the Enterprise business across ASEAN—including Enterprise Commercial, Public Sector, Commercial Executive and CTO segments. He works with Microsoft ASEAN region enterprise and government customers as well as partners to accelerate adoption of Microsoft Cloud and AI technologies, driving accelerated business growth and digital transformation across the region.

With nearly 20 years at Microsoft, Chris brings deep, end-to-end experience across product R&D, solution consulting, project management, cloud solution architecture, sales execution, cloud sales leadership as well as marketing and operations leadership across the United States, Canada and China. His field industry expertise spans across FSI, Government, Retail, Telco as well as Digital Natives in multiple markets in Asia and North America.

Prior to his current role, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Microsoft Greater China Region, driving business operations and sales enablement, cloud and AI go-to-market strategy, and long-term strategy planning.

Beyond Microsoft, Chris is an active technology evangelist and startup coach. He has taught at the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business and mentors startups across the Seattle and Vancouver communities.
