John Hennessey
General Manager, Small, Medium and Corporate Business, Microsoft ASEAN
John leads the Small, Medium, and Corporate Business for Microsoft in ASEAN, responsible for the relationship and business outcomes of 1,200 organizations in the Corporate and SMB segments across 10 countries.
He and his team are focused on empowering businesses to develop, incubate and accelerate innovation through Microsoft Cloud and AI technologies, all while reducing costs, complexity, and risk. In the last five years, John has been instrumental in landing the Digital First initiative across Asia, working closely with the partner organization.
A 21-year veteran of Microsoft, John has been through the evolution and transition of technology, from wireless and broadband to cloud computing, cloud services, and intelligent cloud to now Artificial Intelligence. His extensive experiences are across industry sectors including telco, media, partner, enterprise, corporate, and SMB, and in his current role, he helps demystify technology and empower boardroom conversations on business transformation for organizations.
He is an advocate of a working environment that empowers people through trust and accountability and is an early-in-career mentor. A New Zealander by birth, he was raised in South America with his education across Brazil and NZ.
