Building up Microsoft’s intelligent cloud is a priority

Microsoft is focused on boosting its world-leading intelligent cloud capabilities so more businesses can transformed into digital enterprises, its most senior executive in Asia has told the South China Morning Post.

Ralph Haupter, President Microsoft Asia, said: “We’re very committed to building up our platform and technologies to enable more companies to pursue digital transformation with our intelligent cloud services,” Haupter told the newspaper. “This is our priority.”

Haupter said about half of the companies listed on the Hong Kong stock market’s Hang Seng Index are Microsoft Azure cloud users.

“Across Asia, we’re seeing more game companies, such as those in Korea, Japan, and China, use Azure as a platform to develop and run their games,” he said.
