Windows 10 Creators Update coming soon

Here’s some big news: The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will be available worldwide on October 17.

The announcement came in Microsoft’s much-anticipated keynote address at the IFA conference in Berlin – one of the world’s largest trade shows for consumer electronics. It will be the fourth major Windows 10 update, and will deliver new features aimed at enhancing creativity.

Windows Inking is better than ever, allowing you to annotate PDFs so that sharing comments will be easier. Smart Ink also uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create shapes and tables based on your doodles. Other new features will include a Windows Find my Pen feature and a new Photos app, which can deliver remixed experiences for telling your stories with photos, videos, music, 3D and inking. There is also a OneDrive Files On-Demand feature that gives access to cloud files like any other file on your PC, without eating into your local storage space.

Gaming and security enhancements are also in the update. Game Mode will allow your games to use the full processing power of your device as if it were an Xbox console, at the click of a button on the new Game bar. An updated Windows Defender will be powered by cloud intelligence to provide stronger defense against ransomware and other threats.

Accessibility has also been updated, with an incredible new Eye Control feature. It uses eye-tracking technology that lets you type and use a mouse based on eye movements. And, with the Fall Creators Update, we are enabling you to immerse yourself in a new reality, the world of Windows Mixed Reality.
