Diagnostics company Sysmex conducts remote and secure consultations with a suite of Microsoft tools
CHINA, JUNE 2020 – With the prevalence of COVID-19 worldwide, the healthcare industry in China began to see a massive shift from face-to-face meetings to remote consultations over the last few months.
To overcome this steep transition, healthcare diagnostics company Sysmex partnered with Microsoft to streamline their remote working processes through an integrated suite of tools comprising Surface devices, Office 365, Power BI and Azure.
Connecting beyond the Surface
Armed with a diversity of Microsoft Surface devices, including Surface Pro, Surface Laptop and Surface Book, employees at Sysmex held remote meetings with their healthcare clients to provide timely guidance and drive regular operations forward.
Notably, Sysmex leveraged these remote capabilities to connect with their clients in Leishenshan Hospital, sharing instructions on delivery and installation of their medical equipment in real time. This enabled workers at the hospital to effectively operate their systems and serve their patients during the pandemic.
Driving Productivity with Office 365
Sysmex also leveraged SharePoint, OneNote and OneDrive within the Office 365 suite to remain connected and organized across various departments. Employees in different departments were able to hold internal meetings remotely, share files and back up private information securely and efficiently.
Harnessing data through Power BI and Azure
In addition to the cloud services afforded by Office 365, Sysmex deployed the big data capabilities of Power BI, enabling employees to perform efficient data analysis through a simpler and more secure IT management process. Together with Microsoft Azure and artificial intelligence (AI) services, Sysmex achieved a nimble and highly efficient data flow.
